About Ngorongoro

Formed 2-3 million years ago when a massive volcano collapsed, Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest intact volcanic caldera. At 600m deep and covering 260 km², it's home to over 25,000 large animals.

Often called "Africa's Eden" and the "Eighth Wonder of the World," the crater offers the highest density of wildlife in Africa with all of the "Big Five" present.
