Your safari begins with a morning departure from Arusha bound for Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy your first game drive among groundwater forests, open savanna and the lake’s edge—home to elephants, giraffes, hippos and prolific birdlife. With luck, spot the park’s famed tree-climbing lions. After an afternoon game drive, continue to your lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, ascend through the Ngorongoro Highlands and descend onto the Serengeti Plains. Enjoy game viewing en route to your camp or lodge, watching for lions, leopards, cheetahs and large herds of plains game. Arrive by late afternoon; relax with sundowners before dinner in the wild.

Rise early for a sunrise game drive when predators are active and the light is perfect for photography. Return for breakfast, then begin the journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
